Why napping rocks?

Recently, i have a new found love for napping. Perhaps I’m a little influenced by my husband who loves taking naps over the weekends. But there is something about naps that makes me a better person.

1. Napping makes me a nicer person to hangout with.

Napping just made me a less grumpier person over the weekends. KM and I have the tendency to wake up at 8 on a weekend (I know.. everyone is suppose to sleep in). Since, we’re up at 8am. Our day starts with breakfast, housework and watching day time telly.

If we have plans in the evening, say dinner with friends or family. Both of us would steal a couple of hours to nap before we head out to meet them. A great idea. Cos by the time dinner hits, we’d be refreshed and ready to go. No more in between yawns during our conversations and definitely chilling all the way till our friends/family get exhausted.

2. Napping helps you to be more alert and it increases your productivity.

Occasionally, i would sneak a nap time during my lunch breaks to get some rest. I’ve been doing this since my days in the town council days and now as well when I didnt sleep very well the night before. A study at NASA on sleepy military pilots and astronauts found that a 40-minute nap improved performance by 34% and alertness 100%.

3. Famous people takes naps!

Winston Churchill, John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, Napoleon, Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison and George W. Bush are known to have valued an afternoon nap.

4. Naps give you alone time.

I enjoy short alone time. to stone. to rest and basically stay away from people.

So are these 4 reasons enough for you to jump in for a snooze?
