Haven’t done this series for a while. But nearing 15 Jan, I’ve decided to make a conscious decision to eat cleaner.
This is one of my attempts:
Edamame : rich source of carbo, protein and my fav, fibre. It also contains calcium which is important for strong bones esp women.
Price : $2.90 for 500g
Butterhead lettuce: love this texture and it’s size is perfect for a sandwich
Yellow peppers : packed with vitamin C, carotenoids. These guys are usually sweeter then their counterparts (red/green peppers)
Eat it when it’s riper. That’s when it’s packed with more vitamin
Cherry tomatoes : vitamin A, vitamin B-6. Sautéed it a little in olive oil. Cooked tomatoes allows your body to absorb more lycopene- cancer fighting stuff
Beef: very cheap cut. I’ve only seasoned it with salt and pepper.
