The Wedding Gown

Yes. That’s the title of my post.

We’ve been so blessed with friends and family members who’ve helped us throughout our wedding prep.

My girlfriend, Jiahui signed a package with a photographer who included items like gown rental. She raved about how wonderful this designer is and how affordable she is as well that I had to check it out.

Well, with my lean budget, I didn’t think it would hurt.

Valen is a really nice lady who has over 10 years of experience preparing gowns for brides. You can literally pick a design you like and she can whipped it up for u within 6 weeks. For the budget conscious bride like myself, you can always pick a gown off the rack for rental. She is happy to alter it slightly to make sure you fit into it perfectly.

I have only 1 dress to rent. The white gown and that’s it for me. It’ll be used for the actual day and Im hoping that I can find one that’s not too old. (Rental gowns tend to be a little bit too old.) But Valen has assured us that her dresses are used for a maximum of 6 times before she sells it to the neighboring countries.

With my petite frame, I’ve seek her advice and kinda quit looking and trying out random dress types. E.g. Mermaid dresses (my torso looks too small in it), halter and low back seemed a bit yesterday..

You can refer to this infographic for a pretty good idea on shapes and your figure.

So I’ve tried a couple and I’m looking forward to another selection closer to the wedding date!

Let me know which one is your favourite?

KM told me that he loves the long train. Heh… So I might want to pick something that has that. Heh.

I’m so excited!
